ok. despite my fervent opposition towards vday, im glad to say that i actually enjoyed the day!

after class i was slacking in my room when we made an exciting discovery which led to much debate about who the sender of the flowers was! then it was slacking in esther's room just chit chatting and gossiping and chilling even further. back to the room for more slacking and occasional visits from people and to heading for tea at the comm hall. tea was especially fun when i won numerous rounds of dai dee (thanks to training from viwawa.com!) with the help of gerald at times! but there were also times which i won single handedly without his help! but he's a fun mentor to have! had great laughs and great time! tea has never been that fun before! after dinner i played wahjong with my roomie, my neighbour and my senior on viwawa.com (again!) and it was damn hilarious! since my neighbour was just next door to us, we were like shouting across the room and  laughing at what we typed in the room. in the end, we 三家输一家! damn infuriating! and i kept 'feeding' my senior! hah nevertheless i did 胡 once. haha personal achievement. 2 台.

but after that viwawa kept giving me problems and i couldnt even load the page! haha so that was when the game ended.




ps: its pretty hard to study now. i dont know why. cant concentrate i guess. im still stuck on page 2.

i wished i could just meet up some friend that i can chat rather well with and just talk the night away. sitting in front of the laptop and typing away or clicking incessantly or looking out of the window to spot any action btw ppl or trying very hard to study psych or simply multi tasking isnt my idea of fun. i want to interact with someone. really.

im here wishing everyone who chances upon this place or visits this place a happy valentine's day! im just wishing for wishing's sake and i dont think that commercialization's the best way to celebrate valentine's death yeah? ok even though valentine was some stupid idiot who fell in love with another girl at the end when he was in prison for marrying a pastor's daughter (i think i might get that wrong there! but heck!) because love was much prohibited and marriage was out of the question cos the govt then wanted men to partake in the army. well we're supposed to celebrate the great love itself and people are just using it as commercial gimmicks to sell their products. come on, roses dont last forever and you pay $100 over for something that will wilt and turn brown in a week's time? that totally doesnt make any sense in economics.

ok maybe im fervently against the notion of vday cos im single this year and i am lonely and frail and all dying to go on a date with some particular guy BUT that doesnt mean im desperate. it really makes sense alright! $4 for a stalk of rose. this is nonsense. if i ever get to celebrate vday next year i wont want roses but lilies or sunflowers cos they're WAY MUCH BIGGER than roses. looks nice on the hands. haha. but being the materialistic me i doubt any guy would want me. single's still the best way to spend vday cos you dont have to squeeze with the crowd, compare the size of your bouquet and eat some expensive vday meal which would make you feel uncomfortable the whole day.

well i came up with this theory one day when i was day-dreaming.

makes sense?

so to all the singles out there, dont feel unhappy about Vday cos you're actually helping a single guy save close to $200 worth of expenditure! yes we are that noble.

well have faith in our own charm! and happy vday once again :)

house hopping was the rush but it was also the fun! took many photos at my house. and jas finally went to my house! poor me still hasnt been able to go to her house for a visit. some day some day! the photos are uploaded on my facebook and i am too lazy to upload them on the blog! rushed down to marina square for a movie with my dear hall mates and took rather fun pictures! maybe i'll just upload one or two! haha. cj7 was funny but predictable. not exactly one of steven chow's best comedy but the kid in the movie was damn cute! he really makes you melt and go awwwwww.. im so in the mood for movies now! next up is sweeny todd by johnny depp (ohmygod the love!!!!!) and p.s i love you. ok im not a fan of romanticx movies cos i think its a waste of money to watch romance on the big screen when it doesnt really differ from watching it on the tv screen which is much smaller. so maybe i'll just catch it on an even smaller screen (which is the laptop). haha!

ok ciao i need to finish my soci assignment and read my readings and think of my project outline for my japanese studies project!

i had a very boring 大年初三.

but thanks to cable (who likes to play recurring movies, shows, etc..) i passed my day rather fine.
caught many shows like 新警察故事 (woooh! jackie chan and daniel wu!) , 又见一帘忧梦 (okay its some draggy show but its rather nice!), 酒是故乡纯 (some super old hk tvb drama)，美味关系 (stars 仔仔 and 候佩岑), law by law (ITS SUPER FUNNY OKAY! YOU'LL SEE FANN WONG IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT!!!) and more. stupid pram recommended me to watch cold mountain on channel 5 but i totally didnt understand what the whole movie was talking about!

other than watching useless shows, i passed my night with smses from people. ahha. its fun texting people and expecting the reply cos you never know what they're replying up front unless you read the text! but its rather detrimental to the pocket. ah heck!

anyway, i loved daniel wu's acting in 新警察故事. it was something emotional, with the character struggling in within himself. very complicated. i just knew he was going to die at the final showdown. it was really sad that he actually died and the scene just switched to jackie chan and nicholas tse falling from the roof of the hk convention centre. i kind of sympathize with daniel wu's character. in the show he acts as a boy who is forever under his father's shadow of a police superintendent and he is forever a boy who is being looked down by his father as being one who throws his father's face. this manifested his hatred for the police and he eventually leads a group of teens to challenge the police power as if in a certain computer game. towards the very end, as daniel wu was at the verge of death, his father was still rambling on how he is throwing his face and making him embarassed. its damn fucking irritating! the screen was all focused on daniel wu and i was observing his facial expressions and everything. it was so intricate! and im damn pissed that the scene just ended! ohwell! i guess the limelight has to be on jackie chan since its more like his movie.

ok i should do more of such reflections! improves my language so that i can speak better and think better and not sound like some stupid chlidish girl.

i just had a very very lucky first chinese new year.

first, my camera battery gave up on me despite me charging it overnight! apparantly it wasnt charged at all.

second, my handphone kept hanging on me. it always happen when im texting someone!

third, i wanted to leave my parent's friend's gathering early and i discovered that i forgot to bring my keys along when i reached home. fuck. when back to the place to get keys from my parents. it was lucky their place wasnt far from my house.

fourth, i was cam-whoring with my dying battery and i decided to try my luck with the sd card drive in my laptop since i lost my cable. (any idea where to get a replacement cable for sony t10?) great, the card decided to get stuck and i am stupid enough to try to use a pen knife to get it out. instead of seeing the card getting fished out of the drive, i see sparks. ok. naughty hands. jon says they're ought to be spanked. right.

wow. cny is not just about getting red packets! though im quite happy to have gotten more red packets cos more and more of my cousins are getting married!
